NANNP is governed by an elected Council composed of eight NNPs from across the United States. One member is elected from each of seven geographic regions, and an appointed chair fills the eighth position and also serves on the national board of directors of the National Association of Neonatal Nurses (NANN).
The NNP Excellence Award recognizes NNPs who advance the mission and vision of NANNP through exemplary practice, leadership, service, and education. (Any NANNP member who is an actively practicing NNP may apply. The annual nominations deadline is June 1).
NANNP’s national office is housed with NANN’s headquarters northwest of Chicago in Glenview, IL. There membership, finance, communications, conference planning, continuing nursing education, publications, information technology, and administrative operations for the association are carried out.
